| Dongala Muta is tipped to be a high entertainment thriller. However, Ram Gopal Varma unveils another dimension in this thriller genre. Dongala Muta movie was shot in 5 days on a shoe-strong budget and what can you expect from a movie with the above facts? There's nothing in the story. In fact the story is not gripping and screenplay is also not absorbing and Ram Gopal Varma once again fails to narrate a thriller. Dongala Muta is not so fascinating in terms of movie content and its only the movie stats – shooting duration and budget that's thrilling. After Raktha Charitra and KSD Appala Raju, Ram Gopal Varma experiments on a thriller movie and fumbles. With best of the casting taking center stage, the focus should be on gripping screenplay and content but Ram Gopal Varma was focusing more to sensationalize the movie rather the content, like he did for KSD Appala Raju. Donagala Muta failure once again proves that its the content that is important and not the budget, casting and shooting days. Donagala Muta movie loses grip as it progresses, particularly in the second half where there's nothing going. The screenplay is poor and wayward and the content is also exaggerated at times with nothing to be thrilled upon. And a pathetic climax is the last thing you need for a comic thriller. Donagala Muta movie project itself is wonderful, but the movie content will not give you such a feel as if you are in store for something unique. Its just Ram Gopal Varma's wild imagination to roll out something unprecedented in Tollywood. The story appears to be illogical, but we just cannot stop ourselves from appreciating Ram Gopal Varma for his initiative. Performances Ravi Teja has done well – Once again its brand Ram Gopal Varma that has prompted everyone to experiment such roles. Ravi Teja looks energetic, but his emotional performance could at times go overboard. Charmi is adequate and the camera angles used to show Charmi is understandable. Manchu Lakshmi looks to be a misfit. May be her dialogues are not that powerful enough for a police officer role. Sunil, Brahmanandam and Prakash Raj though not great, but were reasonably good Plus Points
